SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed about the large range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The service issue made for intervention activities a large influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
